Ecology

In line with its philosophy, the company has implemented quality and environmental sustainability systems to optimize its production processes, as evidenced by its ISO 14001 environmental certification and the development of an increasingly comprehensive line of products bearing the ECOLABEL, the European Union’s eco-label.

These and other initiatives have led to the creation of“Life in Green,” our project aimed at charting a course toward increasingly eco-sustainable business development.

LIFE IN GREEN

Quality and Sustainability

The Project

Ever since our founding, we have been particularly mindful of environmental issues, convinced that the world we want to leave to our children can be better than the one we live in today.

To bring this vision to life, the “Life in Green” project was launched—a concept for eco-sustainable development that combines chemistry and ecology while ensuring corporate profitability.

The goal of this project is to progressively and economically sustainably reduce the company’s environmental impact through a series of targeted decisions.

  •  We use bottles and containers made from plastic that is up to 100% recycled, with the goal of significantly reducing the amount of virgin fossil-based plastic used in our packaging;
  • Development of concentrated detergents to enable the use of smaller quantities of product, thereby reducing the amount of packaging materials and water used and minimizing the environmental impact of transportation;
  • Use of raw materials that are non-toxic to humans and do not pose a serious health risk in the event of prolonged exposure;
  • Formulations containing surfactants with biodegradability below the limits required by Regulation (EC) No. 648/2004 on detergents;
  • Increased use of plant-based raw materials, preferably RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil)-certified, to ensure the sustainable use of palm oil;
  • Implementation of quality and environmental sustainability systems to optimize production processes, as outlined in the ISO 14001 environmental certification;
  • An increase in the number of products in the line bearing the Ecolabel, the European Union’s eco-label;
  • The production of an increasing number of products that comply withthe Minimum Environmental Criteria(C.A.M.), by eliminating raw materials such as EDTA, NTA, alkylphenol ethoxylates (APEO), nitrogenated musks, polycyclic musks, and formaldehyde from these formulations. Furthermore, reducing the allergen content in fragrances, as well as the levels of phosphorus and VOCs (volatile organic compounds);
  • A system for recovering wash water generated during production and packaging, including the recycling, storage, and reuse of that water.
